Since 1970, P. C. Thomas has served the Sedalia area as a journalist, photographer, college instructor, Bible teacher and evangelist, and promoter of lifelong learning and interdenominational gatherings.
While a student in India, Thomas served as the founding president of Osmania University Evangelical Students' Union, later becoming active in the Hyderabad Evangelical Graduates' Fellowship. After earning graduate degrees in English and Journalism in India, he taught those subjects there before winning a scholarship to graduate studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Thomas' professional work in the USA include serving on the staff of the Sedalia Democrat, directing the public relations and human resources departments of Missouri Valley Community Action Agency, and teaching at State Fair Community College, where he founded its first interdenominational Christian group that he cosponsored for nearly 30 years.
Thomas has served on the pastoral staff of a few central Missouri churches, and presently fellowships and ministers at Jefferson City Bible Chapel. In 2009, he started Sedalia Bible Academy, which offers weekly inductive Bible studies for adults at Boonslick Regional Library in Sedalia. He has also ministered in Pettis County Jail for several years.
Thomas and his wife Thankam are blessed with two daughters - Priya, who lives in Florida; and Deepa, son-in-law Ted Miller, and Grandkids Anand and Avani, in Lee's Summit.
