Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. My name is Wayne Lamb, Founder of Go The Distance Ministry and Founder/President of Sedalia Steel Supply for over 40 years. During prayer, God impressed upon me that we have to do more to help save the lost and to be a part of souls coming to know Jesus Christ. What an awesome experience!

During Prayer in October, I had a vision that in order to reach many people, I needed to start a radio ministry. It was like God was telling me the time slot, the radio station, and the name, "Go The Distance", which I received at a Promise Keepers meeting I attended that year. God handled it all. God had my wife, Gayle, to come to me with almost the same thoughts. Most of all, Gayle has been the driving force to get each pastor to be on the radio at just the right time. I say the right time, because I feel God's timing is always on time.

Go the Distance started November 6, 2000. Since then we've received numerous cards, phone calls and emails from listeners. People are being emotionally touched and coming to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

I can remember very early in this ministry, we had a lady contact a pastor that had just spoken that morning. She said she was on her way to work and the pastor was talking about forgiveness and that she was crying so hard that she had to pull over and then she called her daughter that she hadn't spoken to for years. They reconciled and began to go to church together. God is so good!

We have had over 40 pastors involved in Go The Distance and can see God's hand at work in this ministry. This website is another avenue for God to get his message across.

Our Goal is to have someone turn on the local radio station to hear country music and get interested in heavenly music. Go The Distance is not about religion, it is about a relationship with Jesus Christ. You can never have a better relationship. Proverbs 18:24 says that He sticks closer than a brother. According to the book of Hebrews, He will never leave you or forsake you. He asked only that you love Him.
